SENIOR INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE Senior Information and Assistance is a statewide program that provides information and referral services over the phone and in the office. Information specialists link the caller/visitor to organizations that provide service to older persons, send printed material about services and/or assist in completing applications for benefits and services. Call the Senior Information and Assistance Office in your county for information about services that are available. SENIOR CENTERS The Baltimore County Department of Aging sponsors 18 nationally accredited senior centers. Located throughout the county these centers provide meeting places for persons 60 years of age and older and their partners to come together for services and activities that reflect their experience and skills, respond to their diverse needs and interests, enhance their dignity, support their independence, and encourage involvement in and with the center and the community. Center Connection: A senior center program designed to improve socialization, create a purposeful role and increase independent functioning for less active senior adults.
