Many adult medical day centers welcome volunteers to
work with participants at the center. People of all ages, including children,
can volunteer. Schools
and community groups may also entertain participants at adult day centers.
Volunteers may teach a class, share their musical talents, provide a talk
about a recent trip abroad, help with arts and crafts, serve lunch or serve
as an escort on a community trip. Ask the day center you are considering
if they have volunteers and how they are used.
