A licensed adult medical day center in the state of Maryland provides opportunities for adults with mental and/or physical disabilities to enjoy medical care, recreational services and socialization in a safe, supporting setting during the day. An adult day center may help your loved one remain at home or in the home of others instead of being placed in a nursing home by providing supervision and nursing care during the day for part or all of each week. This can allow you (or another caregiver) to continue working while knowing that your loved one is receiving care.
